Privacy Policy

ImageResizerTools is built so that we hold as little of your data as possible. This page explains exactly what happens to an image when you upload it.

The short version

Your image is sent to our server, processed entirely in memory, and returned to you. It is never written to a disk, never saved to a database, and is discarded as soon as the response is sent. We do not require an account and we cannot look at your images later, because no copy of them exists.

How your images are processed

ImageResizerTools processes images on our server rather than in your browser. When you use a tool, your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, held in the server's memory only for as long as the operation takes, and streamed straight back to you as the result.

Nothing is written to permanent storage at any point. There is no uploads folder, no object storage bucket, and no database of files. Once the request finishes, the memory holding your image is released and the data is gone.

Because we hold no copy, we cannot recover an image for you after the fact, and we cannot respond to any request — from you or anyone else — to produce a file you previously processed.

What we do not collect

  • We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address.
  • We do not store your images, their filenames, or their contents.
  • We do not read image metadata such as GPS location for any purpose of our own.
  • We do not sell or share personal information with third parties.

Image metadata (EXIF)

Photographs often carry embedded metadata — camera model, timestamp, and sometimes GPS coordinates. Our processing does not deliberately preserve this data, and most operations drop it as a side effect of re-encoding the image. You should not rely on ImageResizerTools as a metadata removal tool. If stripping location data matters to you, verify the output before sharing it.

Server logs

Like nearly all web services, our servers keep short-lived technical logs to detect abuse and diagnose faults. These may record the time of a request, which tool was used, the response status, and a truncated IP address. They do not contain your image data or filenames.

Cookies and local storage

We use no tracking cookies. The site stores a single preference in your browser's local storage — whether you chose light or dark mode — which never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

Advertising

Some pages display advertising to keep the free tools free. Ad providers may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Ads are never given access to your images or to anything you upload.

Analytics

We may collect aggregate usage figures — such as how many times a tool was used — to understand which features matter. These figures are counts only and are not linked to you or to any individual file.

Security

All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit. File size limits and request validation are enforced on the server. Because uploaded files are never persisted, there is no stored archive of user images that could be exposed in a breach.

Children

ImageResizerTools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since we require no account and store no files, we hold no personal data about any user by default.

Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes to the core promise — that images are processed in memory and never stored — would be announced prominently rather than quietly edited in.
